Navigate the Media Wisely

This is a critical time to know where to get your information.

Transgender visibility has never been greater, and our right to bodily autonomy and freedom to exist in public space is under attack.

Respected publications have repeatedly published misleading articles that leverage the fears and benign skepticism of average Americans to perpetuate falsehoods.

These pieces have unfortunately lent credence to anti-trans arguments, and bolstered policy-makers intent on turning back the clock on our rights. This has already happened in the following states:

  • Alabama

  • Nebraska

  • Texas

  • Missouri

The New York Times is one of the leading publications whose influence lends credence to poorly sourced and misleading pieces.

NYT published an op-ed by Pamela Paul, a known bad actor in this space who has published numerous poorly sourced and biased pieces. I won’t provide the link to the piece in an effort not to spread misinformation, but you can find it yourself.
